CVM Resolution 226 comes into force

The Resolution, which incorporates the innovations provided for in the Legal Framework for Guarantees (Law 14,711/2023), brings changes and improvements to the rules for the debenture issuance process. Resulting from Public Consultation 02/24 and encouraged by the development of corporate credit in the capital market, as well as the reduction in the cost of capital, the rule simplifies processes and reduces costs to expand access to credit.

The recent flexibility, mainly regarding the registration of the issuance deed with the Commercial Registry, which will now be done directly through the CVM system, represents a significant advance for the capital market, making the process more efficient and adjusted to the demands of the sector.

The professionals Bruno Pierin FuriatiVictoria Molina, and the Capital Markets team at Simões Ribeiro have prepared a material with more information about the resolution. Check out the full brochure at https://simoesribeiro.com.br/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Folheto-Post-Resolucao-CVM-226.pdf
