INSS Company: New System for Checking Social Security Absences

The National Social Security Institute (INSS) will launch, on May 15, 2026, INSS Empresa, a tool that will replace Conadem (Consultation of Sickness Benefits by Companies). The new system will allow employers to consult their employees' absences during the term of employment, through a more intuitive interface and with real-time information updates.

Among the main improvements, the extension of the consultation period stands out. While Conadem only provided information on benefits processed in the last 18 months, INSS Empresa will allow access to information from January 2019 onwards. Furthermore, the system will present more complete data, such as the benefit number, type, and status, application dates, start date, processing date, and termination date, as well as information related to medical examinations and the existence of a technical link in disability benefits.

To access the tool, the responsible party must authenticate using a gov.br account, employing a digital certificate for legal entities of types A1 or A3, issued by a certification authority accredited by ITI. In this regard, we recommend that companies verify in advance whether they have a valid digital certificate and whether those responsible for access have their gov.br account properly registered and updated, in order to guarantee full use of the tool from the start of its operation.

The Team of Labor Law Simões Ribeiro is available to clarify any doubts and assist in analyzing the practical impacts of the new tool, as well as in reviewing internal procedures and documents necessary for the proper use of the system.
